Compare the colour of the two mixtures after five minutes.

  4. ObserveWatch the mixture colours for five simulated minutes.

What goes in each test tube?

Both: 5 mL milk + 1 mL detergent + 1 mL prepared sodium carbonate solution + 1 mL prepared phenolphthalein indicator.
